OVERVIEW

Burnside Village, Adelaide’s premium shopping centre, is home to over 100 premium fashion, food and lifestyle stores.

OBJECTIVE

Hart (formerly Correct Safety) was engaged to design and construct a  plant platform to support equipment weighing over 90 tonnes, architectural screens and safe access system. This was a large-scale project demanding custom-engineering and meticulous coordination with the builder and various other trades.

OUTCOME

To ensure smooth delivery of the project, Hart’s project managers and design team attended weekly coordination meetings. At these meetings, BIM360 was used for clash detection – a necessity given the project’s scale, complexity and limited roof space.

Our certified compliant access system included:

  • 610m2 custom-engineered Hart Plant Platform to hold over 90 tonnes of equipment
  • Hart Louvre Screen – designed based on line-of-sight studies to ensure plant and equipment is concealed from internal and external viewpoints.
  • Access ladders, access hatches, step ladders and parapet ladders
  • Static lines and fall arrest anchors
  • Aluminium step bridges
  • Aluminium walkway system
