Wiyal Primary School is a Victorian Government school opening in 2026 to support the growing number of families in Fraser Rise and surrounding communities.
VSBA requested vertical louvre screens to prevent unauthorised access to maintenance areas and obscure mechanical equipment. Because the equipment sits at pedestrian level, delivering complete concealment was essential for a clean aesthetic. Where equipment was located beside windows, we needed to ensure the screens didn’t block views or natural light.
Our vertical louvres achieve 100% visual block whilst maintaining airflow requirements to ensure mechanical equipment functions correctly and doesn’t overheat. To hide and secure mechanical units installed next to windows, we designed a custom screen, tailored to the window layout.
Overall, we installed nine lockable screen enclosures across five buildings, securing and concealing mechanical equipment while complementing the surrounding architecture.
