OVERVIEW

Summit Aquatic and Leisure Centre will support the Adelaide Hills growing population with health and wellness opportunities for all ages, abilities and lifestyles.

OBJECTIVE

Hart was engaged to deliver a variety of safe access routes to the roof and between equipment and service zones. This included custom stairways, a plant platform, step bridges over ducting and acoustic screens.

OUTCOME

We designed and built an access system that improves safety and efficiency for maintenance teams moving across the roof and between service zones. Our plant platform centralises mechanical equipment, while acoustic louvre screens conceal equipment and reduce noise pollution. The complete user-friendly solution included:

  • Rafter mounted plant platform – 378m2
  • Acoustic screens with external louvres
  • Custom stairway for access from inside the building to the building’s roof
  • Custom stairway from the lower roof level to upper roof level
  • Custom step bridges for access over equipment on the plant platform
  • Roof access hatch with guardrail kit
  • Vertical safety cage ladder – internal access
  • Various ladders between roof levels
  • Aluminium walkway system
  • Static line systems
  • Fall arrest anchors
