OVERVIEW

The $115 million to upgrade the Maryborough and District Hospital has delivered a new urgent care centre, a 32-bed inpatient unit, two operating theatres and recovery spaces, maternity unit, and a day medical centre with imaging, pharmacy, and oncology, dialysis and infusion services.

OBJECTIVE

Hart was engaged to design, construct and install a roof safety system. This included delivery of an elevated aluminium walkway, precisely integrated across multiple levels and connection points, and custom stairway for safe and easy roof access.

OUTCOME

Careful coordination of the walkway’s manufacture and installation ensured alignment across all levels and connection points. Together with the custom stairways, it provides convenient, easy-to-use access for maintenance teams moving between roof areas. The complete safe access system includes:
