St James Lutheran College’s Performing Arts Hall was built in 2024. The facility was designed to deliver an exceptional audience experience across performances, assemblies, and community gatherings.
Hart was engaged to design and construct a plant platform with acoustic screens above the performing arts hall. Minimising noise from roof-mounted plant that could disrupt performances or affect the audience’s experience was a key priority.
The project was subject to a tight timeframe, requiring rapid design development and delivery without compromising the quality of the solution.
Hart designed and installed a plant platform and acoustic screen rated to .75 NRC. The screen was clad with louvres from roof level to a height of 2.7 metres, providing effective acoustic attenuation and screening plant equipment from surrounding viewpoints.
To accommodate the accelerated program, Hart shared a quote within 24 hours and started detail design within 48 hours. This fast-tracked approach ensured the project was delivered on time, with all specification met.
