AAM Timber is a softwood mill specialising in green sawn products, dimensionally cut for use in pallets, packaging, fencing, and landscaping.
At its Compton processing facility, AAM Timber faced several safety risks related to access around the twin edger, transfer conveyors, and multi-saw infeed.
After assessing the site and consulting with maintenance personnel, Hart (formerly Correct Safety) designed a tailored access solution to eliminate fall hazards and reduce the risk of potentially hazardous contact with machinery.
With limited space in the areas requiring intervention, the system was planned in aluminium so it could be installed without cranage or removing roof sheeting.
As planned, we installed the system without crane lifts or removing roof sheeting.
